BASF invests in Chinese large format SLA 3D printer manufacturer Prismlab AM Industry

BASF Venture Capital GmbH is investing in Prismlab, a leading provider of 3D printing processes and 3D printers, headquartered in Shanghai, China. Prismlab has developed a patented printing process that is characterized by a very high printing speed, high level of precision and lower printing costs. BASF’s venture investment will enable Prismlab to further accelerate its product development and innovation while strengthening its market reach to the global market.

M. Holland Company pens material distribution deal with 3DXTECH Materials

Thermoplastic resin distributor M. Holland Company has entered into a distribution partnership with 3DXTECH, a manufacturer of advanced 3D printing materials based in Michigan. As per the agreement, M. Holland will add 3DXTECH materials to its 3D printing product portfolio, offering its clients access to over 24 new materials, as well as expanded commercial and technical support resources.

Cimetrix partners with Canadian college to bolster AM education Research & Education

Cimetrix Solutions, the AM solutions division of Ontario-based software company Javelin Technologies, is seeking to promote additive manufacturing through education with a new partnership with Toronto’s Humber College. The partnership, which will span five years, aims to provide students with a deep understanding of current and potential industrial applications for 3D printing.

CollPlant and United Therapeutics sign major licensing agreement for bioprinted lungs Bioprinting

Biotech companies CollPlant and United Therapeutics Corporation have signed an agreement for the licensing, development and commercialization of 3D bioprinted lungs for transplant. The companies will leverage their respective specializations: CollPlant will offer its proprietary recombinant human collagen (rhCollagen) and bioink technology, while United Therapeutics will use its expertise in regenerative medicine and organ manufacturing.
