3D printing service provider Shapeways has announced a new collaboration with digital manufacturing company Carbon. As of today, select Shapeways customers will be able to order prints made using Carbon’s innovative Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology. The partnership broadens Shapeways 3D printing services portfolio.
Boston-based AM company Fortify is teaming up with multinational science company DSM to develop high performance composite resin materials for 3D printing structural parts. Metal AM company GKN Additive announced the opening of its first customer center in China. The new facility, located in Danyang, will house cutting edge 3D printing equipment and will enable the company to teach its clients about the technology and design and produce metal components through hands-on prototyping workshops.
Arcam AB, the Swedish manufacturer of industrial 3D printers owned by GE Additive, has broken ground on its newest facility. The facility, which will enable the GE Additive company to meet demand increases, will be located in the Mölnlycke Business Park outside of Gothenburg.

GoEngineer acquired Advanced RP, Inc.’s Stratasys 3D Printing Sales and Support business. The operation was finalized on January 1st, 2019. GoEngineer is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, where it maintains a branch office and call center providing expanded hours of toll-free, centralized technical support and customer service to all customers.
