EOS signs John Hart ply for metal 3D printer distribution in Australia AM Industry

Sydney-based machine tool distribution experts John Hart ply is now the Australian distributor of EOS metal 3D printers. For over seven decades John Hart has been providing Australian industry with advanced manufacturing technologies including CNC machine tools, automation and robotics, additive manufacturing systems, CNC lasers, CAD/CAM software and accessories. The company will now be in charge of EOS Australia distribution.

Authentise integrates AM workflow tools into Microsoft Flow AM Software

In a sure sign that additive manufacturing is becoming more mainstream, AM workflow software company Authentise has announced a multi-year partnership with Microsoft through which it will use Microsoft Azure and integrate its workflow management software tools into Microsoft Flow, a cloud-based workflow automation platform. The goal of the collaboration is to further automate and streamline the AM process.

WACKER opens first U.S. ACEO Open Print Lab AM Industry

German chemical company WACKER has opened its first ACEO Open Print Lab in the U.S. The new facility is based at WACKER’s Silicone R&D lab in Ann Arbor, MI and houses additive manufacturing systems capable of processing silicone rubber materials with a broad range of Shore A hardnesses and colors. The new ACEO print lab will provide customers with first-hand tutorials and hands-on training for silicone rubber 3D printing.

Additive Industries sells first MetalFAB1 3D printer in China AM Industry

After establishing a more direct presence in the country last month, Dutch metal 3D printer maker Additive Industries reported their first order in China. Leveragin the recent appointment of Sinsun-Tech Corporation Ltd as its agent, they sold the first MetalFAB1 system to a Chinese customer. Additive Industries won the tender of the Maritime Equipment Technology Institute of Jiangsu University of Science & Technology and will help the institute to accelerate production of heat exchangers for Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) applications.

Solvay and Aerosint developing cost-effective SLS for 3D printing specialty polymers 3D Printing Processes

Solvay, a Belgian chemicals company with a growing AM materials portfolio, has announced a new research agreement with Belgian 3D printing company Aerosint, which has developed a fascinating new approach to SLS that enables multi-material printing.
