The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR) are building a 3D printing clinical data registry to support medical professionals applying additive manufacturing in healthcare.
ExOne has joined the Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA) as a founding member. ExOne joins AMGTA to collaborate in the effort to promote the environmental benefits of additive manufacturing (AM) in a variety of ways, including through rigorous and independent ongoing research.

Imagine ultra-lightweight components that are as strong as a reinforced concrete column. Now, as Volkswagen reports in its new blog, this is possible, thanks to technology-led by Bugatti engineers. The newly developed 3D printed pushrod – a pressure-loaded coupling rod in the chassis area – weighs just 100 grams and can transmit forces of up to 3.5 tonnes. The hollow titanium structure with an internal supporting arch gives incredible strength and is yet another AM breakthrough among several Bolide 3D printed parts recently introduced by Bugatti.
Printed Farms is the first organization in the United States to get a Cobod Bod 2 Concrete 3D Printer. I got the chance to check out a job site of theirs near West Palm Beach, Florida. This project is a 30×30 agricultural building that will ultimately serve as storage for equipment that the owner has to manage their many horse stables.
What was a promising experiment in automotive 3D printing has apparently come to an end. A team of undergraduate students from 10 colleges and universities across the United States – members of the Artemis Generation designed a reusable landing pad that could be 3D printed from materials found on the Moon. The novel concept – called the Lunar Plume Alleviation Device, or Lunar PAD – focuses on solving the problems caused when the force of an engine’s powerful exhaust meets the dusty lunar surface.
The Italian firm World’s Advanced Saving Project (WASP) has completed the printing phase of its TECLA supporting structure, a 3D printed house based on natural materials that is made with multiple 3D printers operating at the same time. The habitat model was engineered by WASP and designed by MC A, Mario Cucinella Architects. It took form as a new circular model of housing entirely created with reusable and recyclable materials, sourced from local soil, carbon-neutral and adaptable to any climate and context.
