PrinterPrezz, Inc. and Vertex Manufacturing have completed the merger between the companies, both active in the advanced manufacturing sector and specifically in advancing and evolving the AM workflow. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is significant as it marks one of the first times that a new entry AM software company (PrinterPrezz) has acquired a physical AM service provider (Vertex). Both companies are innovative in their approach to AM: PrinterPrezz in terms of its holistic approach to the AM workflow and Vertex, a new company founded by industry veterans, in terms of their adoption of new AM technologies such as those provided by Velo3D along with PrinterPrezz software.

3D Print Bodyform Full Bucket Seat Now Available from Porsche

Following some final adjustments, the customized 3D-print bodyform full bucket seat is now available as part of the new Performance Parts offering from Porsche Tequipment. The seat is suitable for various Boxster, Cayman and 911 models. From February 2022 onwards, it can also be ordered from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur as a standard feature and it will be integrated into the Porsche Car Configurator at this point too. In addition to its unique look, the new central section of the seat is its main innovation: parts of the cushion and backrest surfaces are produced using a 3D printer and are available in three different rigidity grades, meaning the seat can be customized to suit the customer’s specific needs.

Paisley Park designers and museum curators worked with Stratasys to bring their designs to life by pushing the limits of what’s possible with 3D printing. The ‘Beautiful Collection’ highlights approximately 300 pairs of shoes worn by Prince throughout his career. The Paisley Park team has thoughtfully displayed the shoes in a way that highlights Prince’s impact on fashion, performance, and popular culture.
