Sahajanand Technologies Private Limited (STPL), an industrial technology development company, headquartered in Surat, Gujarat, India, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), in Hyderabad, Telangana. The move is intended to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two organizations. The MoU was signed by Rahul Gaywala, CEO of STPL3D, and Jaspreet Sidhu, CEO of NCAM.

Both organizations will be working towards a long-term vision of developing a self-sustaining AM ecosystem in India by enabling industry adoption, prototyping and developing new products, providing access to state-of-the-art infrastructure, enabling research and development, and promoting skill development activities for generating quality manpower.
Manufacturing on Demand

NCAM was established by the Government of India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and the Government of Telangana’s ITE&C Department, in collaboration with industry. It was conceived with a vision to create and enable a sustainable ecosystem for product innovation in the country, with a focus on research, design, development, and testing – through the collaborative efforts of academia, industry, and government – utilizing AM.
Both institutes will collaborate to promote ‘Made in India’ technologies and products in Indian industries as well as in Indian academic institutions and to support the growth of local industries in the AM space. The MoU also calls for the creation of a national platform to showcase Indian AM technologies and products.
