Kanfit 3D Partners with Anthill Ventures to Expand into Indian Market

Kanfit 3D, the Israel-based firm specializing in 3D printing with aluminum and titanium alloys, has entered into a partnership with Anthill Ventures, a speed scaling ecosystem that invests in and scales early-stage companies to penetrate the Indian market.

Anthill will assist Kanfit3D to enter the market in India, providing Kanfit3D with access to numerous healthcare providers, introduce them to local 3D printing manufacturing companies, and help establish a manufacturing unit that will enable Kanfit3D to manufacture custom-made medical implants in India.

“Non-customized medical implants do not offer design flexibility and also pose a higher risk of stress
shielding,” explained Zachy Shtamler, founder and COO of Kanfit3D. “Kanfit3D has had tremendous success in Israel working with doctors and hospitals to provide patients with custom medical implants. This partnership is aimed to revolutionize the custom medical implants industry in India, which are usually imported from overseas destinations such as Germany, which are expensive and have a higher gestation rate to reach India. The medical implants made in India are also not customized for each patient which does not allow patients to absorb and build bone quickly thus posing a higher risk of infections and are likely to delay post-op recovery.
