MEET – Middle East Eng. Technologies – just finished the construction of the MEET 3D Villa in the UAE. The villa was printed in just 2 weeks in Sharjah, in the heart of SRTIP, with the help of the CyBe team’s expertise, providing on-site training and support.
This is the first 3D printed villa designed and inspired by Emirati heritage and architecture. The project was established through the triple-helix collaboration of the public, private, and academic sectors. Solar energy is being used to power the house as a source of clean energy to ensure a better future for present and future generations.
Manufacturing on Demand
The structure had 100% of its walls 3D printed in just over two weeks. It is an insulated and sustainable house with traditional Emirati architecture and powered by the latest bifacial solar panels. If you are in the UAE, you can join the inauguration even in person on Tuesday 15th December 2020, to meet the engineers behind it as well as attend speaking sessions from SRTI Park, academia and industry representatives, to tie together the latest Research & Development in “construction technologies”; The event starts at 6:30 PM GST. Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park is the first research park in their region covering all 3D Printing Technologies under one roof. 3D printing plays an important role in promoting innovation, scientific research as well as deploying research and technology towards finding solutions in natural resources and creating a sustainable ecosystem.
