Kasetsart University Uses 3DPrinterOS for the First 3D Printer Farm in Southeast Asia 3D Printing Processes

The Faculty of Architecture at Kasetsart University in Thailand set up the Digital Prototyping Laboratory (AKU: Digital Prototyping Laboratory, DPL) launching 3D Printer Farm using 3DPrinterOS to run its cloud 3D printing service. The purpose of the lab is to run the university’s education and research development programs, expecting that this will boost up technological potential and support research study design from all angles. The DPL is first and the largest 3D Printer Farm in Southeast Asia.

As the market consolidates, 3D printer and filament manufacturers are beginning to address some of the main issues in desktop 3D printing. One is the object’s adhesion: generally the challenge is getting an object to stick to the plate throughout the entire print, however when that happens the risk is running into the opposite problem: not being able to detach the opbject from the plate without damaging it. The new Prototypum pad presented by Fillamentum is meant to address these issues.

Stratasys Shows Polyjet 3D Printed Art at “Printing the World | Imprimer le Monde” Exhibit in Paris AM Software

The “Printing the World | Imprimer le Monde,” exhibit, curated by Marie-Ange Brayer, can be seen in Gallery 4 at the world famous Centre Pompidou in Paris, from March 15th to June 19th 2017. This is not the first time Stratasys polyjet 3D printed art is displayed at Centre Pompidou, as celeb designer Neri Oxman has exhibited a number of complex art pieces in dedicated exhibits in the past
