L3Harris to acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne AM Industry

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AJRD) signed a definitive agreement for L3Harris to acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne for $58 per share, in an all-cash transaction valued at $4.7 billion, inclusive of net debt. Lockheed Martin has entered an agreement to acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne in 2020 but that was blocked by the FTC, in the agency’s first litigated defense merger challenge in decades.

MMB VOLUM-e recently installed a new EOS M400-4 laser metal 3D printer after receiving funding from the Ministry of the Economy as part of “MooV-e 4.0”. The funding initiative follows the call for projects “Recovery plan for the Aeronautics industry” aimed at the strengthening of the industrial sector through a massive plan to modernize production tools, support digital transformation and improve environmental performance.

Stratasys and 3Shape partner on color dental models Medical AM

Stratasys Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS) and intraoral 3D scanner specialist 3Shape are introducing a new automated 3D printing color workflow using 3Shape’s Dental System software and the Stratasys J5 DentaJet 3D printer. Using an intraoral scanner and 3Shape’s software, dental labs can capture both color and geometric information of the patient’s mouth. Users of Stratasys’ 3D printer can then import the data and print extremely accurate personalized full-color dental models.

Velo3D has appointed Brad Kreger as the Executive Vice President of Operations to support the company’s goals in production growth, quality standards, and cost reduction. Brad Kreger brings decades of experience overseeing and rapidly scaling operations in hardware production, including tenures at Thermo Fisher Scientific and its subsidiary Affymetrix, and Fluidigm Corporation. He will have oversight of Velo3D’s various manufacturing facilities and their corresponding teams, reporting to Benny Buller, Founder, and CEO of Velo3D.
