Hepburn and Sons LLC, advisors to the American maritime industry, officially joined forces with MELD Manufacturing Corporation, developer of the patented, solid-state metal additive manufacturing process and provider of MELD 3D printing machines. The companies have been working together since 2021 to introduce the Navy and other military services and DoD agencies to MELD, also known as additive friction stir deposition.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s R&D center has registered a new patent for an adhesive device for 3D printers that automatically distributes adhesive material on the printing plate – ensuring that the printed material sticks adequately. This is the seventh patent registered by the R&D center.

3D Systems has appointed Dr. Rebekah Gee to the 3D Systems Medical Advisory Board, effective 1 March 2023. Dr. Gee is a recognized expert on public health policy and was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2017.
