Farsoon Americas has entered a new distribution agreement with Indurate Alloys, a leading supplier of thermal spray, and laser and PTA powders based in Alberta and Ontario, Canada. Visser Precision, a contract manufacturer serving major industries from the racetrack to outer space, has purchased and received two Velo3D Sapphire printers – expanding its 3D printing capabilities for its aerospace customers. One of the printers is the first Sapphire printer calibrated for Haynes 214 (UNS N07214), a nickel-based superalloy that is now available as a powder option for all Velo3D customers. The other Sapphire printer is calibrated for Inconel 718, which is commonly used in many aerospace and industrial applications for its high strength and corrosion resistance.

Hepburn and Sons LLC, advisors to the American maritime industry, officially joined forces with MELD Manufacturing Corporation, developer of the patented, solid-state metal additive manufacturing process and provider of MELD 3D printing machines. The companies have been working together since 2021 to introduce the Navy and other military services and DoD agencies to MELD, also known as additive friction stir deposition.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s R&D center has registered a new patent for an adhesive device for 3D printers that automatically distributes adhesive material on the printing plate – ensuring that the printed material sticks adequately. This is the seventh patent registered by the R&D center.
