DyeMansion and PLM Group sign reseller agreement for Nordic-Baltic region AM Industry

Germany-based finishing solutions company DyeMansion has announced a new partnership agreement with PLM Group, a reseller of 3D printing technologies in the Nordic-Baltic region. PLM Group will now offer DyeMansion’s full range of finishing products alongside 3D printing systems from HP and 3D Systems and 3D printing software solutions. The distribution partnership also marks Dyemansion’s first authorized reseller in the Nordics and Baltics.

Dassault Systèmes names Xometry as first ‘prime partner’ AM Industry

Software company Dassault Systèmes and manufacturing service provider Xometry are partnering to offer customers an integrated solution for ordering parts that facilitates the production workflow from concept to production. Through the collaboration, engineers using Dassault’s SOLIDWORKS and CATIA platforms will have automatic access to Xometry price quotes through the MAKE Marketplace. The integration enables Dassault Systèmes customers to obtain quotes without leaving the design environment.

3DCERAM-SINTO ceramics AM technology used to develop next gen X-ray imaging Additive Manufacturing

3DCERAM-SINTO‘s advanced ceramics 3D printing technology will be used in the European project H2020 NEXIS to develop the next generation of X-ray imaging systems. The project, dubbed NEXIS (Next Generation X-ray Imaging System) consists in a photonics driven breakthrough in image quality and functionality of an interventional X-ray system that will allow performing stroke diagnosis directly in the interventional suite. This could have a significant impact in terms of enhanced workflows, reduced diagnosis & treatment time (up to 50% time reduction) saving more lives and reducing healthcare costs.

STELIA Aerospace and Bombardier embark on AILE R&T project Aerospace

France-based company STELIA Aerospace has announced a new research project in collaboration with Canadian aerospace firm Bombardier. The project, which will be carried out by Bombardier and STELIA Aerospace’s two Canadian subsidiaries, will be focused on exploring advanced manufacturing processes such as 3D printing for the development of intelligent and lightweight wings for more efficient aircraft.
