The Lubrizol Corporation has acquired Avid Product Development, LLC, a trusted partner for engineering and additive manufacturing services. Lubrizol acquires Avid to extends its production capabilities in AM and offering the service bureaus’ unique blend of 3D printing capabilities, including design for additive manufacturing (DfAM), prototyping and production using powder bed fusion (MJF, SLS), fused filament fabrication (FFF) and stereolithography (SLA), with expertise in various post-processing technologies.

SLA provider Nexa3D acquires laser sintering company NXT Factory AM Industry

Nexa3D, a manufacturer of ultra-fast SLA 3D printers, has just announced the acquisition of NXT Factory, a developer of Quantum Laser Sintering (QLS) 3D printing technology. Through the deal, Nexa3D is acquiring all outstanding shares of NXT Factory, and will begin to offer both high-speed 3D printing processes through its AM portfolio. The acquisition will also see Nexa3D add a range of powder fusion plastic materials to its product line.

HP chooses Dyndrite Kernel to power next-gen additive portfolio AM Industry

3D printing company HP Inc. has selected Dyndrite’s geometry kernel to help power its next-generation cloud and edge-based digital manufacturing solutions. The partnership consists of a long term licensing agreement between the two companies and showcases HP’s dedication to AM innovation. It is also worth mentioning that HP’s interest in the company is longstanding: it was the inaugural member of the Dyndrite Development Council.

Italy’s BEAMIT and ZARE merge into single AM service provider 3D Printing Service Providers

Italian additive manufacturing services BEAMIT and ZARE have today announced a merger through which they will combine their resources to become a single, powerhouse AM service in Europe. The merging of the two additive manufacturing service providers will result in a single organization made up of over 100 employees with operations at five facilities, all located within a 40 km area between Parma and Reggio Emilia in Italy. The new company also has four commercial offices in France, Germany, the UK and Japan.
