Add TIPE 3D Printing, industry’s first all-female conference, to your calendars AM Industry

AM organization Women in 3D Printing has done some seriously amazing work over the years: highlighting the accomplishments of women across AM and giving them a platform through which to connect, as well as providing insights into the industry’s diversity through its regular DfAM reports. Now, the group is preparing to host the additive industry’s first all-female agenda of AM speakers at the upcoming TIPE 3D Printing conference.

Nexa3D integrating Siemens factory automation across QLS portfolio Additive Manufacturing

Polymer 3D printer company Nexa3D is teaming up with Siemens to bring its AM production systems up to speed for Industry 4.0 connectivity. The companies will leverage their respective areas of expertise to standardize Nexa3D’s whole Quantum Laser Sintering (QLS) product line to Siemens’ factory automation and computing technologies. (Earlier this year Nexa3D acquired NXT Factory, the developer of QLS technology.)

We tend not to write articles in the first person on 3D Printing Media Network, however, I will make an exception in this case, as I’m writing about my latest project: the new edition of my study on footwear additive manufacturing, which was just published by SmarTech Analysis. In this new footwear AM 2020 report, I looked at the latest trends in terms of hardware technologies, new materials and new applications of additive manufacturing for footwear serial, mass and mass customized production.
