ETH Presents Digitally Built, Three Stories Tall DFAB HOUSE 3D Printing Processes

At the Empa and Eawag NEST building in Dübendorf, eight ETH Zurich professors are collaborating with business partners to build the three-storey DFAB HOUSE. It is the first house in the world to be designed, planned and built using predominantly digital processes. Since one could argue that all building construction is based on additive processes – even the human driven analogic ones of today – than this is as close as it gets to the future of additively manufactured houses.

Texas Inventor Launches 3D Printed GemCreator Machine on Kickstarter Research & Education

Xometry Receives $15MM Investment from BMW, GE, and Highland Capital 3D Printing Service Providers

Xometry, the leading on-demand manufacturing platform, received $15MM in funding led by BMW i Ventures, with participation from existing investors including GE Ventures and Highland Capital Partners. Further fueling Xometry’s rapid market expansion, the latest round of funding will accelerate Xometry’s investment in its machine learning-based software platform, manufacturing partner network, and sales organization.
