Oerlikon, GE Additive, Linde and TUM announce Bavaria-based AM cluster AM Industry

Oerlikon, GE Additive, engineering company Linde and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have announced that they will be creating an open additive manufacturing cluster that will focus on the research and development of additive manufacturing technologies. The cluster, announced in the context of the Munich Technology Conference (MTC3), will be based out of a single hub in Bavaria.

Siemens and Materials Solutions inaugurate new innovation center in Orlando, FL AM Industry

Siemens and Materials Solutions (a Siemens business) have opened a new, 17,000 square foot innovation center in Orlando, Florida. The state-of-the-art facility will offer a combination of design and manufacturing solutions, utilizing advanced robotics, rapid prototyping, on-site metal additive manufacturing, scanning and digital tools to primarily serve Siemens’ energy businesses. Materials Solutions will also leverage the facility’s resources to offer additive manufacturing services to external customers.

EOS appoints Marie Langer as new CEO AM Industry

EOS GmbH, a Germany-based leader in industrial additive manufacturing, has announced the appointment of a new CEO, Marie Langer, the daughter of EOS founder CEO Dr. Hans J. Langer.
