Prellis Biologics appoints new CEO and raises $35 million Bioprinting

Prellis Biologics, a biotherapeutics company utilizing its proprietary, high-resolution bioprinting technology to recreate and engineer human tissues in vitro, has appointed Michael Nohaile, PhD as its new CEO, and has raised a $35 million Series C funding round, co-led by Celesta Capital and Avidity Partners with participation from Khosla Ventures, SOSV, True Ventures, and Lucas Venture Group. Dr. Michael Nohaile joins the company from Generate Biomedicines and succeeds Prellis Biologics founder Dr. Melanie Matheu, who will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer and retain a Board seat.

Stryker opens new 3D printing facility in Anngrove, Cork 3D Printing Events

Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, has opened its high-tech 3D printing facility at Anngrove, Cork – marked by a visit from Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD, the IDA, and other local guests. Intertronics supports University of Sheffield with bioelectronics research Research & Education

When the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering (ACSE) at The University of Sheffield was looking for a way to accurately 3D print bioelectronic sensors, it reached out to Intertronics for support. The company supplied mixing and dispensing equipment to improve the consistency and quality of the mix – achieve better printing definition and reduced blockages in the nozzle of the 3D printer.
