MSC Software Corporation (MSC), a global leader in computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulation software and services, signed an agreement with Melbourne-based RMIT University’s Advanced Manufacture Precinct. The agreement is especially in the area of Additive Manufacturing and pertains to the use of MSC Software’s Simufact Additive solution by the University.

3D printing company EnvisionTEC GmbH has sold a Viridis3D RAM System to German casting company Giesserei Blöcher GmbH, marking the first Viridis3D RAM printer sold in Europe. The Viridis3D RAM System is a binder jetting system developed by industrial AM company Viridis3D, which has an exclusive strategic partnership with EnvisionTEC.

The announcements each bolster the company’s overarching goal of becoming a global leader in the large-format 3D printing segment.
Binder jet 3D printing company ExOne has today unveiled its latest industrial sand 3D printer: the S-MAX Pro, which boasts improved print speeds, reliability and precision. In addition to the 3D printer, the company has also announced a partnership with Siemens that it says will benefit its industrial customers in the foundry, aerospace, automotive and energy markets, among others.
