Polish 3D printer manufacturer Zortrax, known primarily for its FDM 3D printer ecosystems, has ventured into the SLA realm with the launch of its new Inkspire 3D printer. The Resin UV LCD 3D printer is marketed as being up to 8x faster and up to 9x more precise than competing SLA printers on the market.
Evolve Additive Solutions, Inc. announced this week that it has shipped its first STEP additive manufacturing system to an undisclosed client, described only as “a large manufacturing company with an iconic brand name and the undisputed leader in their field.” The AM system, now in its Alpha development stage, will be further refined and adapted to a manufacturing setting with the help of the strategic partner.

Open source 3D printer manufacturer Aleph Objects, Inc. has officially released its newest product, the LulzBot Aerostruder v2 Micro Tool Head. The new hardware update—which stirred up some confusion and excitement a couple of weeks ago with a red herring teaser—enables LulzBot Mini 2 users to up their printing game in terms of resolution.
Polish 3D printer manufacturer 3DGence today announced that its INDUSTRY F340 3D printer has received certification from TÜV Rheinland. The company emphasizes that it is the first 3D printer manufacturer in Poland to have been granted this certification.

This may have slipped under the radar. The Henkel Group is not just establishing itself as a major developer and supplier of 3D printing materials for photopolymerization and powder bed fusion polymer system manufacturers like HP and Carbon. Through it proprietary Loctite brand, the company is also bringing its own Loctite PR10 DLP 3D printer and relative resin materials, including a 3D-printing specific Loctite bonder.
Despite the fear mongering surrounding 3D printed guns that has dominated most 3D printing-related discourse in the mainstream media lately, there are certain, much more real and immediate safety concerns within additive manufacturing.
