XJet Ltd., the additive manufacturing company, has announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Carfulan Group, a supplier of leading edge technology solutions to UK manufacturers. Operating under the name of XJ3D, the Derbyshire-based company is the first distributor to be appointed by XJet worldwide.

This agreement means that its international distributor 3DZ has achieved a status where it has become 3D Systems official partner in Italy. This status is based on 3DZ’s experience, expertise, capabilities, and resources in representing 3D Systems across its metal and plastics printers for additive manufacturing including the associated supply of official materials.
Royal DSM, a global science-based company specializing in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living, has engineered a deal that will see 3D printing materials supplier Formfutura distribute its additive manufacturing filaments.
Dr. Mina Bissell has joined the Advisory Board at 3D bioprinter manufacturer CELLINK and will contribute to the company’s development within cancer research and focus on developing technologies advancing the field. The Iranian born scientist runs the Bissell Lab at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and has been recognized for her lifetime contributions to the fields of breast cancer research, the enhanced role of extracellular matrix (ECM) and the nucleus environment to gene expression in normal and malignant tissues. Global technology company Aptiv has teamed up with 3D printing specialist Carbon to introduce a new commercial additive manufacturing program. The AM program, reportedly capable of delivering repeatable, high-quality products that achieve military standard qualifications, is currently being presented at IMTS in Chicago by Aptiv at Carbon’s booth.
California-based 3D printing company Velo3D is showing no signs of slowing down since the unveiling of Sapphire, the first support-free metal PBF 3D printer last month. The company’s latest news comes out of IMTS in Chicago, where it announced a new partnership with metal 3D printing service Incodema3D. Dimension Inx, a developer of 3D printing and especially bioprinting materials, has announced a new distribution partnership with Advanced BioMatrix, a manufacturer and distributor of bioink and cell culture products. Through the agreement, Advanced BioMatrix will become the first company to distribute ready-to-use 3D printed scaffolds made using Dimension Inx’s 3D-Paint materials.
