America Makes awards Boeing Research & Technology with GAMAT project opportunity Money & Funding

America Makes has selected Boeing Research and Technology as the awardee of a Directed Project Opportunity on the generation of additive material allowables for Ti-6AI-4V (GAMAT) funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Manufacturing and Industrial Base Technology Division. Driven by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), America Makes awarded approximately $3.0M in funding with roughly $0.8M in matching funds from the awarded project team for a total of roughly $3.8M.

AM industry leaders sign MoU for founding of Bavarian AM Cluster AM Industry

At the start of the AMTC conference in Munich, representatives of seven leading companies and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of establishing/founding the “Bavarian AM Cluster” (BAMC). The representatives from AUDI AG, EOS, GE Additive, Linde, MTU Aero Engines, Oerlikon and Siemens, along with TUM, have agreed to establish the Bavarian AM Cluster (BAMC) as a non-profit association in spring 2023.
