Advanced Manufacturing International, Inc. (AMI), a Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group, Inc. (MTDG) subsidiary, appointed Stephan Biller, Ph.D. as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Dr. Biller will report directly to MTDG President Dean L. Bartles, Ph.D., FSME, FASME.“I have had the extraordinary pleasure of knowing Stephan as both a colleague and a friend for many years,” said Dr. Bartles. “He is a technological visionary. Jagtar Narula will join 3D Systems as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 14. He will report to President and CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Graves, and lead the company’s Finance organization, including all finance operations and investor relations. With a strong technical foundation and extensive experience in investment strategy, Jagtar will play a central role in capital deployment for growth and margin expansion.

3D Systems today announced the appointment of a new President and CEO, Dr. Jeffrey A. Graves, a veteran of the manufacturing industry with over 17 years of experience in a CEO position. Dr. Graves will officially join 3D Systems in the leadership position on May 26, 2020, replacing Vyomesh Joshi, who announced his retirement in February and has served as CEO of 3D Systems since April 2016, leading the company through a critical period.

3D Systems President and CEO Vyomesh (VJ) Joshi, 65, has notified the Board of Directors of his decision to retire and the Board has initiated a search for his successor. Joshi will continue to serve in his current role until a new CEO is appointed and will then transition to be a strategic advisor to the company. The company is partnering with executive search firm Spencer Stuart to conduct a search for Joshi’s successor.

Multi-material 3D printing company Voxel8 has appointed Dr. Friedrich von Gottberg as its President and Chief Executive Officer. von Gottberg will step in to replace former CEO Travis Busbee as well as become a new member of the company’s Board of Directors. Busbee for his part, has been named Chief Technology Officer.

3D printing giant Stratasys has today announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer, Yoav Zeif. With extensive executive management experience, Zeif will officially join Stratasys in the leadership position on February 18, 2020. Until then, Elchanan Jaglom will continue to act as interim CEO—he will also maintain his role as Chairman.

Digital manufacturing company Carbon has announced the appointment of Ellen J. Kullman as its new President and CEO. Kullman, who previously served as Chairman and CEO of DuPont, will replace Dr. Joseph M. DeSimone, who will be taking on the role of Executive Chairman of the Board.

Christian Lönne has assumed the position as CEO of Digital Metal, Höganäs AB’s subsidiary that manufactures 3D printers for metal powders. “It’s time for Digital Metal to take the next step in development,” says Fredrik Emilson, CEO of Höganäs. “Christian Lönne’s experience from both big companies and start-ups is just right.”

John Hartner, former COO at EnvisionTEC and founder of the Digital Industrialist consultancy firm, is the new CEO at ExOne, one of the first manufacturers of industrial binder jetting systems for both sand and metals. Hartner had joined ExOne as COO in November 2018 and boasts a three-decades-long experience in leading industrial technology companies around the world.

Voxeljet, a leading manufacturer of sand and polymer binder jetting industrial 3D printers, is officially opening its new 78,000 square foot voxeljet Asia facility in Suzhou, nearby Shanghai (China) on Thursday, May 16th, exactly two years after the first stone was set. The cutting edge additive manufacturing hub will have more than 400 tons of annual 3D printing capacity.
