Evolve Additive Solutions selects PostProcess Technologies as its support removal partner AM Industry

Evolve Additive Solutions will scale up its production volumes with PostProcess Technologies’ help as the preferred support removal partner. The partnership integrates Evolve’s Selective Thermoplastic Electrophotographic Process (STEP) technology with PostProcess’s Volumetric Velocity Dispersion (VVD) technology. The concrete results of this partnership come into effect in 2021. Evolve Additive Solutions aims to bring its STEP technology into play as a volume production solution in tandem with a wider buy into Industry 4.0.

GE Additive and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation form binder jet PPP AM Industry

GE Additive and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) formed a public-private partnership (PPP) designed to further Indiana’s economic growth by implementing GE’s Binder Jet beta program in the state’s manufacturing sector. Indiana, long considered a Republican stronghold, has a manufacturing sector that produced 27.67% of Indiana’s gross domestic product in 2019. The IEDC, moreover, boasts that the state has the highest number of pass-through highways in any state; Indiana has some of the highest large freight railroads in the United States; FedEx’s second-largest global air hub is based in Indianapolis. These advantages make Indiana a welcome hub for additive manufacturing.

Farsoon installs laser sintering systems at Chuanglian 3D Technology Company AM Industry

Farsoon Technologies, a laser sintering and materials developer, completed the installation of two systems for Chuanglian 3D Technology Company. An HT1001P CAMS and three Flight 403P systems were installed. These installations represent a budding partnership between Farsoon and Chuanglian, which further reflects Farsoon’s growing market share. This growth is balanced by growing tensions between the United States and mainland Chinese manufacturers. Farsoon’s partnership consolidates Farsoon’s relationships in its local market, thus strengthening the company’s operations.

Prodways acquires wax 3D printer manufacturer SolidScape from Stratasys (in cash) AM Industry

Prodways Group has acquired the US 3D printing maker Solidscape Inc., a subsidiary of Stratasys. The moves further marks French 3D printer manufacturer Prodways as a leading player in industrial 3D printing. The company has been posting the highest revenue growth rates among the major publicly listed industry players. Although it has not enjoyed a very high visibility, SolidScape has been a major player in 3D printing for over two decades as its wax 3D printing technology is a jewelry industry favorite.
