Last week we exclusively reported that Sinterit revealed the new Lisa X – its 3rd generation compact SLS 3D printer. The new system presented as the fastest compact SLS 3D printer in Sinterit‘s offer, built for agility and productivity, made its official debut at Formnext.
Sinterit, the Poland-based company known for its low-cost SLS 3D printing solutions, has launched the latest addition to its ecosystem: the Powder Handling Station (PHS). The new system, to be used alongside Sinterit’s Lisa or Lisa PRO printers, is designed to streamline and improve the powder recovery and cleaning processes for selective laser sintering.
Since it was developed in the 1980s, selective laser sintering (also known as SLS) has been recognized for its ability to print polymer parts with high-quality finishes and good mechanical and isotropic properties. However, the technology’s associations have not all been so positive: SLS 3D printing is also known to be expensive—often prohibitively so.
