QOROX, a construction company in New Zealand, has become an authorized reseller of 3D concrete printers from CyBe Construction, a Dutch leader in 3D concrete printing hardware, software, and materials. This partnership strengthens the growing interconnectedness in the additive manufacturing industry and aims to spread advanced 3D construction technology across New Zealand and Australia.
QOROX was the first to introduce 3DCP to New Zealand and successfully built the first 3D printed commercial building in the Southern Hemisphere. Their expertise and quality have been recognized by industry peers, such as Hamilton-based Iconic Construction. After collaborating with QOROX on multiple projects, including the Southern Hemisphere’s first 3D printed commercial building, Iconic Construction became interested in acquiring a printer for themselves.
CyBe believes in fostering collaboration and supporting partners who drive growth, and QOROX’s development of 3DCP in New Zealand and its ability to spark interest in the technology among other construction companies have earned them CyBe’s backing.
Manufacturing on Demand
As an authorized reseller of CyBe printers, QOROX is well-positioned to further expand the presence of the technology in New Zealand. QOROX will purchase another printer from CyBe to broaden their own capabilities, while also selling printers to other companies, such as the CyBe RC (Robot Crawler) to Iconic Construction – who was QOROX’s first sale as a reseller.
Iconic Construction has already planned two projects for their new 3D printer. First, they will build Lowe Road Studio, New Zealand’s first 3D printed Airbnb, followed by The Vicarage, a multi-purpose commercial facility.
