EVO 3D and CEAD Offer Customized Pellet 3D Printer Package

EVO 3D is set to offer CEADs technology components as part of one of their customized pellet 3D printer packages. The partnership will mainly be geared towards end-part applications for design and recreational purposes, particularly in the UK.

EVO 3D, a UK-based provider of 3D printing solutions, offers a broad range of AM solutions and helps its clients purchase the correct printer for their specific needs. The company’s mission is to advance the successful integration of Robot Printing. To make this happen, EVO 3D works with some of the world’s most advanced hardware and software technology partners.

In this partnership, EVO 3D will offer CEADs technology components as part of one of their customized pellet 3D printer packages. CEAD, Netherlands, is a pioneer in the development and supply of large-scale 3D printing solutions and offers an extensive portfolio – ranging from stand-alone print heads and technology components to complete robot and gantry systems.

EVO 3D will start by offering a package that consists of CEAD’s E25 pellet extruder integrated on a KUKA
robot, together with CEAD’s 2x1m print bed and pellet dryer. The E25 pellet extruder is a lightweight solution, with an output of 12kg/hr. CEAD has validated a broad range of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites on their extruders, including commodity materials such as PP, PLA, and PET-G through to high-performance materials such as PEEK, PEI, and PESU.

Interest in this robot package was made clear at the TCT 3Sixty in Birmingham, where CEAD showcased the robot extruder at EVO 3D’s booth. The partnership is mainly targeting the UK market – particularly end-part applications for design and recreational purposes, such as theme parks. “We are looking forward to working together with the young and motivated team of EVO 3D who have gained exceptional knowledge in the field of additive manufacturing over the past years,” said Charléne van Wingerden, head of business development at CEAD.

“The addition of CEAD to our partnership is one we are not only very proud of but is also an essential one,” said Jake Hand, marketing director of EVO 3D. Thanks to CEAD’s robot extruder, EVO 3D is now able to offer a higher-output robot package. “We also have a keen eye on the CEAD AM Flexbot Solutions, this is something we are keen to offer in the future,” said Hand.
