The Digital Builders Association, a Non-Profit Trade Association exclusively serving the Global Digital Construction Industry, launched its first State of the Industry Summit, a two-day online event that will take place on March 30-31, 2023.
The digitally-delivered summit will bring together thought leaders, industry experts, and innovators from around the world to explore the latest trends, technologies, and challenges facing the 3D home-building industry.
“We’re excited to host our State of the Industry Summit and bring together the best and brightest minds in the industry,” said Ken Krell, Founder and Chief Enthusiast of the Digital Builders Association. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the latest innovations, network with industry peers, and explore new business opportunities in the revolutionary field of Digital Construction, most notably 3D home building.”
Manufacturing on Demand
The event will feature a diverse range of speakers, including Berok Khoshnevis, the father of 3D home printing, and other industry greats. Topics covered will include how to get started with Digital Construction, 3D printing technologies, sustainable construction, innovative building materials, how to finance all this technology, and much more.
“The summit will provide valuable insights and knowledge on virtually everything anyone will need to know about 3D home building,” said Ken Krell. “Whether you’re an industry veteran or just starting in the field, this is an event you absolutely must attend.”
The State of the Industry Summit will be held entirely online, making it accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in live Q&A sessions, network with other professionals, and access on-demand content after the event.

EU-funded WOOL2LOOP recycles mineral wool for 3D printing: Construction and demolition waste reportedly accounts for more than a third of all waste generated in the EU. Mineral wool, widely used with other insulation materials, has a very low density, and as a result – disposing of it requires a disproportionate volume. This fibrous spun mixture made from molten glass, rock, or slag is considered largely unrecyclable. However, this may no longer be the case, thanks to the EU-funded WOOL2LOOP project, which has demonstrated the use of mineral wool as a precursor for making geopolymer concrete and associated construction elements, on an industrial scale, in a circular economy business model.
