Renishaw Partners with FalconTech to Bring Its AM Technology to China AM Industry

Renishaw, a global manufacturer of metrology systems and metal 3D printing machines, has announced the signing of an agreement with FalconTech Co., Ltd. as a solutions centre partner and distributor for its additive manufacturing (AM) technology in China. Located in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, FalconTech is a technology and innovation company focusing on the rapid manufacturing of high performance components for aerospace, biomedical, marine, chemical and other engineering applications.

Premium AEROTEC, EOS and Daimler partner on NextGenAM Project AM Industry

Metal 3D printing technology is gaining more and more traction in the industrial field. The aerostructures supplier Premium AEROTEC holds a leading position within its sector for this technology. To consolidate this position and to expand the company’s capabilities beyond aviation, Premium AEROTEC is starting a joint project with experienced partners EOS, the leading technology supplier for industrial 3D printing, and Daimler, the renowned automotive manufacturer. Together, they will develop the next generation of additive manufacturing (AM) in their NextGenAM project. Via this cooperation, the companies are laying the foundations for the implementation of this technology in large-scale serial manufacturing.

Sigma Labs Wins Contract with Caterpillar Subsidiary Solar Turbines AM Software

Sigma Labs, an OTCQB listed provider of quality assurance software under the PrintRite3D brand has received a contract from Solar Turbines Incorporated, a subsidiary of Caterpillar located in San Diego, California. Solar Turbines will implement Sigma Labs’ In-Process Quality Assurance™ (IPQA®) technology for the production of gas turbine components using metal additive manufacturing. The division makes mid-size industrial turbines for use in electric power generation, gas compression, and pumping systems. Sigma Labs will initially install its PrintRite3D software on a 3D Systems’ ProX300 machine, with the potential for multiple system orders as the company ramps up to full serial production.
