DWS Shows Clarity of Vision with XCELL Integrated Production Unit and Global Strategy 3D Printer Hardware

The 3D printing industry is transitioning toward automated production. While this trend has been evident for the past few years, the latest formnext trade show has made it even clearer, with a huge focus post-production, materials, and part handling units filling the halls to support faster and more productive 3D printers. Few companies have expressed this vision as clearly as DWS, with its new, all-in-one XCELL system.

Remember the Barilla 3D printer? What remains of that is the memory of a great experiment and an even greater marketing stunt. Now BluRhapsody, a spin-off project born from Barilla’s R&D research, aims to create a service for chefs and events selling customized pasta3D. Based in Parma, it is the first startup from Blu1877. The Blue Rhapsody website should be online by the end of November/early December.

TuPOD Windform XT 2.0 3D Printed TubeSat Deployer Successfully Completes Mission Aerospace

Small satellites provide a responsive alternative to larger, more expensive satellites. As demand grows, engineers must adapt these “nanosatellites” or CubeSats to provide new achievements and goals. One of these achievements is deploying a TubeSat from the International Space Station (ISS). TubeSats are cylindrical and are not compatible with normal CubeSats deployer platform (P-POD) on the ISS. Thus, an innovative nano-satellite, TuPOD (Tubesat-POD), was developed to address the challenge.
