Thought3D announces HobbyKing as newest reseller of Magigoo 3D printer adhesive Consumer Products

Thought3D, the Malta-based manufacturer of Magigoo 3D printing adhesive products, has partnered with international online retailer HobbyKing.com, further expanding its reseller network. HobbyKing.com, a platform that primarily serves designers, makers and enthusiasts of electronics and R/C models, will now be selling the 50ml format of Magigoo 3D printer adhesive. Notably, the sales site will be stocking Magigoo at all of its warehouses in the U.S., the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Australia.

GKN weighs in on partnering with HP and Volkswagen for Metal Jet printing Additive Manufacturing

GKN Powder Metallurgy revealed a strategic collaboration with HP Inc. at the 2018 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS). The company will be the first to deploy the just-launched HP Metal Jet, a groundbreaking binder jetting technology, into its factories to produce functional metal parts for auto and industrial leaders, including Volkswagen and Wilo, and for companies around the world.

3D Systems today announced at IMTS 2018 that Align Technology, maker of the Invisalign system of clear aligners for straightening teeth, has increased its investment in 3D Systems’ SLA 3D printing technology as part of its continued operational expansion. The multi-year collaboration is part of Align’s highly customized additive manufacturing solution that meets the needs of Align’s global business.

Velo3D and Incodema3D announce partnership to accelerate metal AM at IMTS Additive Manufacturing

California-based 3D printing company Velo3D is showing no signs of slowing down since the unveiling of Sapphire, the first support-free metal PBF 3D printer last month. The company’s latest news comes out of IMTS in Chicago, where it announced a new partnership with metal 3D printing service Incodema3D. Together, the companies will work to accelerate the adoption of metal AM across a range of industries.

Steelcase redesigns SILQ office chair with custom 3D printed armrests Consumer Products

Furniture company Steelcase recently enlisted the help of 3D printing companies Fast Radius and Carbon to redesign and upgrade its award-winning SILQ office chair using additive manufacturing. Working together, the partners designed, engineered and 3D printed an arm cap for the chair which can be customized to the user’s body. IMTS visitors can see the 3D printed office chair in person in Chicago from September 10 to 15.
