Materialise has made a further inroad into the medical market with recent FDA clearance for its Mimics Enlight cardiovascular planning software suite. The software tools are designed to support clinicians in the planning of complex transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) procedures.
Stryker today announced that it is to invest over €200 million in Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) projects at three of its five Cork facilities as it continues its vigorous innovation journey to deliver next generation products and services across its Medical Surgical, Orthopaedics and Neurotechnology and Spine offerings. Aerospace company Relativity has signed an agreement with NASA and secured an incentive package from the Mississippi Development Authority for the expansion of facilities at NASA’s Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, MS. The historic facility first opened in 1961 and is today NASA’s largest rocket engine testing site.
German 3D scanning company Thor3D has announced a strategic partnership with Canadian 3D scanning specialist Polyga Inc. The collaboration will be mutually beneficial as it will see Thor3D and its partners become resellers of Polyga’s XTract3D software, while Vancouver-based Polyga will take on the role of distributor for Thor3D’s Calibry 3D scanners on Canada’s West Coast.
