Ai Build, London based provider of autonomous 3D printing technologies will now be pairing its AiSync cloud software with industrial 3D printers produced by Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik’s AM unit WEBER Additive. WEBER is a German manufacturer of plastic extrusion machinery, which the company has been building for over 100 years. Now, with support from AI Build’s software and the extensive experience the London company has matured in the additive workflow, even a traditional plastic company like WEBER is ready to make the jump.

Industrial 3D printing company Essentium Inc. has made a series of announcements today, all of which aim to expand the company’s business to meet a growing demand for its AM solutions. Oerlikon, GE Additive, Linde and TUM announce Bavaria-based AM cluster AM Industry

Oerlikon, GE Additive, engineering company Linde and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have announced that they will be creating an open additive manufacturing cluster that will focus on the research and development of additive manufacturing technologies. The cluster, announced in the context of the Munich Technology Conference (MTC3), will be based out of a single hub in Bavaria.

Siemens and Materials Solutions inaugurate new innovation center in Orlando, FL AM Industry

Siemens and Materials Solutions (a Siemens business) have opened a new, 17,000 square foot innovation center in Orlando, Florida. The state-of-the-art facility will offer a combination of design and manufacturing solutions, utilizing advanced robotics, rapid prototyping, on-site metal additive manufacturing, scanning and digital tools to primarily serve Siemens’ energy businesses. Materials Solutions will also leverage the facility’s resources to offer additive manufacturing services to external customers.
