Jay Leno’s Big Dog Garage joins Stratasys Performance Partner Program Additive Manufacturing

Jay Leno is no stranger to 3D printing. The former Tonight Show host is a massive car aficionado and has, through Big Dog Garage and Big Dog Productions, utilized AM to help restore and refurbish all manner of vintage and rare automobiles. From here on out, it seems the comedian will be turning to 3D printing more than ever, as Leno’s auto repair shop has signed a new partnership deal with 3D printing giant Stratasys.

Amastan rebrands as 6K, launches sustainably sourced metal AM powders Materials

Amastan Technologies will be rebranding as a new company, 6K, which will make its debut at Formnext 2019. As part of its launch, the new company, which develops microwave plasma technology for the production of materials for AM, lithium ion batteries and more, has introduced metal additive manufacturing powders made from sustainable sources. The powders are produced using 6K’s unique UniMelt technology which is capable of transforming certified chemistry machined millings, turnings and other recycled feedstock sources into premium powder for AM.

3DCeram introduces C3600 Ultimate for ceramics AM mass production 3D Printer Hardware

French-Japanese company 3DCeram Sinto, based in Limoges, is introducing at Formnext its latest 3D printer for advanced ceramics parts production. The new C3600 Ultimate features an impressive build volume of 600x600x300 mm and is capable of processing zirconia, alumina and a range of other materials. The system was developed for mass production of some of the largest advanced ceramic parts, including aerospace components such as satellite mirrors.
