Not only is he the co-founder of innovative 3D printing company Carbon, but he has also enjoyed a 30-year career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and NC State University. Now, Dr. DeSimone has revealed he has joined Stanford University’s faculty.

Optomec, a metal additive manufacturing company based in New Mexico, has revealed that over 10 million turbine blades have been refurbished or repaired using its metal 3D printing technology.
