3Diligent expands manufacturing-as-a-service suite AM Software

3Diligent expanded its leading manufacturing-as-a-service (MaaS) application, ProdEX, and its scalable shop management application, Shopsight. These applications respectively connect additive manufacturing service providers with clients and enable remote assessment, quoting and project management. These applications run through 3Diligent’s Connect interface: advertisers and customers can request a quote via ProdEX and management workflow through Shopsight. Connect thus serves as a gateway to Industry 4.0. It combines the software packages and uses a secure online portal and Zoom’s videoconferencing tools to connect manufacturers and customers directly.

Henkel and Carbon combine materials and printing expertise, bring Loctite to Carbon’s offering AM Industry

Henkel and Carbon announced a new partnership agreement to bring Henkel’s Loctite adhesive technology into the additive manufacturing space. Carbon’s printers, notably its newer L1 3D model, will now be able to use Loctite materials. The new Loctite 3D IND 405 clear material is immediately available to customers. The partnership agreement will also give Carbon’s industrial clients access to Henkel’s single-component technologies, which may now be incorporated into Carbon’s digital light synthesis process (DLS).

Zortrax prints special PEEK parts for space with support from the European Space Agency Marketing and Content

Zortrax, with the support of the European Space Agency (ESA)*, is working to develop a technology that enables 3D printing high-performance composite parts out of two blends of PEEK filament in dual extrusion on the Zortrax Endureal industrial 3D printer. After nearly a year of research and development efforts, the first prototype composite parts made out of standard PEEK and experimental electrically conductive PEEK, developed by ESA, have been successfully fabricated on the Zortrax machine.

Spanish bioprinting company REGEMAT 3D opened a crowdfunding round through Crowdcube that attracted its minimum investment target in seven days. The company sought 300 000 euros to fund its international expansion. The funding round continues until it reaches three million euros, which the company hopes to achieve through its multiple sources funding action plan. This plan looks to raise money from large and small private and public sources. Some of the funding will be obtained through soft loans.
