Launcher adds second Velo3D 3D printer for rocket engine parts 3D Printer Hardware

The partnership between Velo3D and Launcher is further proving out the value of 3D printing for delivering satellites to orbit cost-effectively and with destination-orbit flexibility. In April 2021, Launcher purchased a Velo3D Sapphire metal additive manufacturing solution to print rocket engine parts in Inconel last. Now the company has added a second one that prints in titanium.

KAM adds third SLM 280 3D printer, brings PBF systems total to 21 3D Printing Service Providers

Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM for short), the metal AM service founded by former Team Penske NASCAR race driver Brad Keselowski, is rapidly becoming one of the most productive AM factories in the world. After starting out just a few years ago with only two systems, the service provider has built up a fleet of 21 metal PBF systems, with the newest SLM 280 just introduced bringing the total to three.
