MX3D, an Amsterdam-based metal 3D printing company, has revealed a collaboration with Japanese architecture and engineering firm Takenaka. Together, the companies designed a Structural Steel Connector, which MX3D then 3D printed using its large-scale robotic printing technology, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).
A team of researchers from Purdue University, Cornell University and Case Western Reserve University is drawing inspiration from bones to make stronger, more resilient 3D printed structures for buildings, aircraft and more. Stratasys is eyeing the Australia and New Zealand’s 3D printing markets and expanding its reseller network in the region. Stratasys AP, a subsidiary of Stratasys Ltd., has enlisted TCL Hofmann and TCL Hunt as authorized channel partners in an effort to expand its reach into the Australian and New Zealand markets.
3D Bioprinting Solutions and the P. A. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Center conducted a unique experiment on implant in-situ bioprinting to replace skin defects. In June 2019, global sciences company Royal DSM launched the I AM Tomorrow Challenge, a collaborative effort aimed at addressing and filling gaps in the AM value chain.
