Ion Core Technology, the company behind the British-manufactured Zinter Pro 3D printer, has appointed Shane Nelson as Managing Director and CEO. This move comes off the back of growing financial and commercial success, with $10,000,000 to invest thanks to hedge fund managers Jonathan Bailey and BJ Eastwood, increasingly prominent sales such as to aerospace giant Airbus Group and a UK national T.V. advertisement. Mr Nelson will be supported by the existing team of Ion Core directors, namely Richard Dinan and Alexander Nall-Cain, alongside former CEO, James Marchant.
Mr. Marchant will remain with the team, moving to focus upon product and business development. Mr. Marchant – also the company’s co-founder – explained: “We’re delighted to welcome Shane to Ion Core. He has an impressive business track record and brings with him a unique and diverse range of skills. His familiarity with our culture and vision as well as his strong leadership skills will ensure that Ion Core continues to grow and delivers world class 3D printers to our consumers all over the world.”
Mr. Nelson shared: “Its fantastic to be Joining Ion Core, it’s run by hard-working people, has a fantastic culture and strong, ingrained values that are second to none not to mention a market leading product range with a number of exciting products coming through the design phase. I really believe in the direction we are moving in, both in the U.K. and as a global business and I look forward to working with the team here at Ion Core.”
