Since its founding in 2007 3D printing marketplace and community Shapeways has gone from strength to strength. In the latest progressive step for the company, Shapeways has relocated its Eindhoven factory and offices to a more central location in the Dutch city. With intriguing architecture and a larger factory faculty, which the company is sure will be of interest to their community, clients and general public visitors, Shapeways is teaming up with the organisers of Dutch Design Week to offer a tour of the new premises with its myriad machines and 3D printed wonders for a special celebratory open event.

The new Dutch factory itself is on the Kanaaldijk and has its own commercial history already, as it started out as a DAF trucks factory, then was used as one of the offices of the famous jeans brand Diesel. The building will see the thirty new staff and an expanded range of industrial 3D printers find their new home ― a home which the company hopes will prove to be even more inviting for Shapeways 3D printing community members and corporate clients to drop by for a visit to fulfil their precise printing requirements.
You can see the new Shapeways Eindhoven factory in person at this year’s Dutch Design Week from Tuesday 21st of October to Friday the 24th of October by booking at the Meetup page here.
