Manufacturer of the world’s only 3D paper printers is gradually expanding its influence across the globe, landing a reseller in Turkey. Mcor, which until last year maintained most of its network in Europe and North America, has since begun reaching into Asia and South America. Now that they’ve found Teknodizayn in Turkey, they will have bridged the Euroasian divide.
Teknodizayn, made up of CAD/CAM and CNC specialists, has moved into the 3D printing market, offering 3D printing services, as well as selling Mcor machines and Artec 3D scanners. The company’s Founder and CEO, Mehmet Erkan Ustaoğlu, expressed his vision, “We are proud to be a part of the maker revolution and we are growing our company day by day. I believe that 3D printing will change the future of humanity; it will make people remember the value of creating something on their own. Joining forces with Mcor will certainly differentiate our product offering and make us more competitive.”
Conor MacCormack, CEO of Mcor Technologies, explained how the reseller fits into the 3D paper printer’s overall strategy, saying, “We are very pleased to welcome Teknodizayn to the Mcor family. Turkey is an important 3D printing market and, together with Teknodizayn, we will make 3D printing more widely accessible and provide entirely new opportunities for 3D printing in the region.”
In addition to Mcor’s own growth, the sale of their machines by Teknodizayn attests to the burgeoning 3D printing market in the country. 3D printer retailer 3Dörtgen, recently unlocked by distributed 3D printer network 3D Hubs, already sells a range of desktop 3D printers and offers 3D printing services. 3D Systems has also made a partnership in Istanbul with Al-mera, a jewellry solutions company. The Maker revolution in Turkey, and perhaps the entire region, seems to really be heating up.
