PostProcess has partnered with Laser Prototypes Europe (LPE) to implement automated post-printing for the company’s large customer base across the UK and Ireland. Established in 1991, LPE is the UK’s longest established prototyping bureau and has continually made a point to invest in cutting-edge technologies and materials, ensuring customers have access to high-quality prototype models.
Having been the first UK company to implement an EOS Rapid Prototyping system, LPE is adding another achievement to its series of “firsts” as the first company to implement an automated post-printing solution within Northern Ireland, where the LPE headquarters are based. To drive efficiency for its additive operation, LPE has implemented the PostProcess DEMI 430™ for software-driven resin removal. In addition to offering streamlined post-printing, LPE found the DEMI 430 to be the only solution conducive to finishing parts printed with stereolithography, digital light processing, and selective laser sintering from more than 20 resins in use.
Manufacturing on Demand
The DEMI 430 solution utilizes technology that ensures faster process times, improved safety, and an overall more streamlined workflow, even as print volumes scale. Speaking to the collaboration, Tom Walls, Managing Director, Laser Prototypes Europe, said “Staying ahead of the curve is what’s enabled us to deliver quality prototypes and products to our customers for the last 30 years. We look forward to streamlining our processes even further with automated post-printing in the DEMI 430, a solution we can trust to intelligently handle our wide array of print technologies and resins.”
“With this collaboration, we have the opportunity to work with a fellow well-established brand, whose innovative mindset is similar to our own,” said Ken Whild, Head of UK & Ireland for PostProcess Technologies International. “We are confident that the DEMI 430 will further bolster LPE’s already efficient prototyping and manufacturing processes and enable them to continue bringing superior products to their customers in record time”.
