Campfire Audio, a high-quality, hand-crafted, earphone manufacturer has released its new range of Custom In-Ear Monitors, consisting of Equinox, Solstice, and Supermoon. Each pair is handmade, designed, and assembled in Portland, Oregon, USA. As close attention to detail is critical to delivering a superior musical experience, these in-ear monitors feature an acoustically optimized, 3D printed, interior model – as seen in Campfire Audio’s other in-ear monitors – that allows each driver to deliver the very best sound quality. When heard together, the drivers offer a seamless musical experience as a result of the process.
Campfire Audio’s Custom In-Ear Monitors also feature a crafted and hand-polished finish. As a result of the finish – the smooth earphone body conforms comfortably to the user’s unique ear shape.
Unique to Campfire Audio’s Custom In-Ear Monitors is a patent-pending solid body earphone design. Each in-ear monitor begins with the impression of the ear. The impressions are first digitally 3D scanned. The interior acoustic chamber of the Supermoon design is then manipulated and arranged in an optimal position inside the shape of the ear impression. This allows for the optimization of the performance of the earphone – resulting in a better-sounding, better-fitting in-ear monitor.
Manufacturing on Demand
When Campfire Audio crafts the solid body of the earphone, the design is 3D printed, similarly to how Sennheiser created its IE 600 earphones, as a single component before being meticulously hand-finished. Putting the work into the earphone design before the print means the only moving part in the earphone is the diaphragm. This also means that the earphones will be robust and reliable during the most demanding performance conditions.
Campfire Audio’s new patent-pending solid-body design provides optimized acoustic performance by incorporating the tuning chambers of the earphone directly into the final in-ear monitor print.
Campfire Audio’s Custom In-Ear Monitors come in two fits – the Audiophile and the Artist. The Audiophile Fit offers a shallow seal depth that has been trimmed and optimized, removing the unnecessary length of traditional in-ear monitors designed for the stage. A fit design is exceptionally comfortable and easy to wear. The Artist Fit offers a more traditional seal depth to ensure the necessary sonic isolation and added security needed for demanding on-stage performances – well suited to the professional musician, extending into the ear canal for an optimal seal.
