In San Francisco on March 10, the second annual Bloomberg Businessweek Design conference will be held at the Yerba Buena Center. The conference aims to use the day-long event to bring an international crowd together to share ideas in architecture, transportation, graphic design, technology, urban design, 3D printing, product manufacturing, data visualization, genetic engineering, corporate branding and more. One of the main headliners happens to be Makerbot’s CEO Bre Pettis.
Bloomberg Businessweek magazine offers a who’s who of the business world, the movers and shakers, and once again, Bre Pettis is on the scene. His presence is a welcome headline for the conference especially when considering the tone of the event.
“Over the last decade we’ve all seen how innovation and design are linked—and how the right design can change a company’s destiny,” said Josh Tyrangiel, editor of Bloomberg Businessweek. “The exceptional group of designers joining us in San Francisco are leading their companies and clients to new territory and reimagining how we experience the world. It’ll be great fun to hear them present, argue, collaborate, and challenge one other, while sharing their secrets for doing great and impactful work.”

Some of the installation will be available to view outside the conference. 3D printing has maneuvered into a staple in the business world, and individuals like Bre Pettis offer a welcoming face to the international crowd that the conference facilitates.
Coverage of select sessions from Bloomberg Businessweek Design 2014 will be available across various Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg platforms.
