Bruil is looking for a construction 3D printing post process engineer AM Industry

Bruil, a(nother) Dutch construction firm offering construction 3D printing services, is officially looking for a post process engineer – or Post Processor – for its concrete 3D printed parts. The company specializes in high-quality mortars and precast concrete and it manufactures structural and finishing products at various locations in the Netherlands.

Among its investments in innovations, Bruil targeted 3D printing of concrete, not so much for direct house construction but for facade elements, balustrades and columns with sloping, round shapes. The serial 3D printing of these unique elements takes place at the location in Veenendaal. These elements are printed layer by layer by means of a robotic 3D printer. As a Post-Processor at Bruil, you’ll be responsible for all post-processing procedures after the robot printer finishes with an element.

Post-processing of these elements takes place at two locations: the production location of the 3D print itself and the production location of the prefab hollow-core slab floors. Both locations are located a few minutes away from each other in Veenendaal. You will work in an informal close-knit team. The elements are printed in a two-shift operation. During the day shift you will be responsible for the post-processing of the elements together with other colleagues.

Post-processing responsibilities include sawing, coating, drilling, gluing, tilting of printed concrete elements, moving printed elements within the production hall (with the overhead crane), placing the stock of elements on the bag field using a forklift and preparing it for transport, while ensuring a clean and safe working environment along with other minor technical maintenance activities.

This is a full-time position – Monday through Friday – and it does require previous experience in a production environment, with specific concrete working related experience as a significant advantage. It also carries benefits such as solid pension accrual and business drinks twice a year. Those interested can send resume and motivation to Eline Glatz, People & Work department at Bruil, via Werken@bruil.nl.
