As one of the largest supercar maker, Ferrari has begun to generate respirator valves and fittings for protective masks in its Maranello plant in support of health workers treating coronavirus patients. The section is generating these components utilizing additive manufacturing technologies, as Ferrari joins the 3D printing <\/span>effort to fight COVID-19 globally. <\/span><\/p>\n

In March, Ferrari (along with other FCA Group firms ) had begun cooperating with Siare Engineering, the sole Italian maker of pulmonary ventilators, assisting the firm goes out of 5 to 20 (and potentially 30) ventilators generated every day, with the objective of generating 2,000 of those machines till July 31st. In cases like this, Ferrari did not have to convert its manufacturing lines supplied parts to construct the ventilators, like parts and monitors, together with FCA and Magneti Marelli.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ferrari is currently partnering with Novamacut — its supplier of HP multijet fusion systems — the technology branch of Desktop and Stratasys Metal systems supplier Energy Group. Mares, a gear maker have manufactured the valves, tailor-made to match their masks in order to make emergency masks to help patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

In cases like this Nuovamacut, who helped with the study managed this project’s logistics. Fittings have been provided to Solid Energy, which will rely on them to change snorkel masks to shield health workers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within the upcoming few days, Ferrari intends to fabricate several hundred pieces of gear which are already being distributed by a number of the firms involved, together with the coordination of the Italian Civil Defense, to different Italian hospitals such as those in Bergamo, Genoa, Modena, and Sassuolo and to health employees in the town of Medicina, near Bologna.<\/span><\/p>\n
