Having excellent flame-retardant quality and insulating properties, Windform FR2 is suitable for aerospace applications. It differentiates from Windform FR1 on some properties, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reinforcement material (Windform FR2 is glass fiber reinforced, Windform FR1 is carbon fiber reinforced)<\/li>\n<li>Colour (Windform FR2 is off-white, Windform FR1 is dark gray)<\/li>\n<li>Electrical behavior (Windform FR2 is electrically insulating)<\/li>\n<li>Smoother surface finish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-93627 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/facfox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Windform-FR2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\"  style=\"display:none\"><\/p>\n<p>The material passed successfully the FAR 25.853 12-second vertical and 15-second horizontal flammability tests as well as the 45\u00b0 Bunsen burner test and Smoke density test.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCRP Technology constantly produces technological breakthroughs and highest-level solutions,\u201d commented Franco Cevolini, VP and CTO at CRP Technology. &#8220;Only a few months ago we launched Windform FR1, flame retardant carbon fiber reinforced material. It is not electrically conductive.
