Backing for the decision came from Minneapolis resident and franchise owner Dave Thorson. The new franchise will act as a testing ground for implementing 3D printing in PostNet\u2019s business practice. The global company acts as a marketing hub for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Though it may only be one office, the decision could mark a watershed moment in company policy and help usher in 3D printing as a logical step in business marketing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For more than 20 years, PostNet has continuously evolved as new technology emerged so we could better serve our customers and power small businesses,&#8221; said Brian Spindel, co-founder of PostNet. &#8220;We are eager to evaluate 3D printing at our new Minneapolis center to understand how the technology can boost the bottom line of not only our franchise partners, but also small businesses across the country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>3D printing continues to make strides in business industries due to its increasing cost efficiency. Thorson\u2019s push for implementing 3D printing in the Minneapolis PostNet franchise stemmed from his personal experience with the technology. While managing design and construction of a local high school, Thorson\u2019s team saw the architectural advantages of 3D printing. Often this is the case, a personal experience leads to widespread use. Such a practice can only develop out of successful innovations, and 3D printing continues to impress.<\/p>\n<p>PostNet\u2019s global reach with many franchises in South Africa and the Americas promises to provide an excellent opportunity for the technology. The foot is in the door in Minneapolis and all eyes will look to see how it affects the bottom line and customer satisfaction.
