Professor Saarinen is no less than the executive director of the European Optical Society. He also serves at the University of Eastern Finland and is the founder of Heptagon Advanced Micro-Optics: the market leader in wafer-level fabricated micro optics.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-37400\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Luxexcel-3d-printing.jpg\" alt=\"Luxexcel 3d printing optics\" width=\"1481\" height=\"408\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prof. Jyrki Saarinen is enthusiastic about LUXeXceL\u2019s 3D printing process: <em>\u201cI believe that the unique LUXeXceL technology provides the optics and photonics industries virtually unlimited opportunities. The process allows designers to think out of the box whilst developing new optical components and functions for our future generation of products. I am proud to join the highly skilled team at LUXeXceL and am looking forward to support them with my experience.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nThe senior appointment of Saarinen is a key strategic business move for Netherlands-headquartered LUXeXcel Group, bringing a high level of academic prowess and additional experienced business acumen to the Board.
