Launched in 2010, LUXeXcel&#8217;s Printoptical Technology  lenses gives the company a unique customer base in the automotive, aerospace, architectural, photonics and medical industries.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-53660\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Virtual_reality_headset_exploded.jpg\" alt=\"Virtual_reality_headset_exploded\" width=\"728\" height=\"367\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Recently, the company announced  a \u20ac7.5 million Series B led by Flemish investment company PMV NV.  The round included PMV&#8217;s investors, SET Ventures and Munich Venture Partners.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53661\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/allles.45-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"allles.45-1024x768\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased to announce the completion of this B-round.\u201d says CEO Eric Tierie. \u201cThe strong partners in this funding round share the vision that our technology and worldwide unique 3D printing service will offer new opportunities and novel optical products to many different markets\u201d. With these investments, LUXeXcel will be able to accelerate the growth of its 3D printing technology platform and develop extensive additional printing capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2010, the company has raised a total of \u20ac17.5 million in funding, grown to a company of 25 employees, and recently launched an online ordering platform to provide customers around the globe with access to Printoptical Technology, allowing them to order custom made optical components.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-53662\" src=\"https:\/\/3dprintingindustry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Checkmate_overview.jpg\" alt=\"Checkmate_overview\" width=\"728\" height=\"483\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Roald Borr\u00e9, PMV\u2019s co-Head of Venture Capital, had this to say about the financing, \u201cWe\u2019re excited to have the opportunity to invest in Luxexcel.
